Demonstratives 지시사

'이'(this) indicates an object near the speaker.
'그' (that) indicates an object near the listener, or a person/object who/which used to be with the speaker.
'저' (that) indicates an object away from both the speaker and listener.

All of them cannot be used alone. You must add a noun after them.
'것'/ '거' (thing), and' 곳' (place) must be used with a prenoun or an adjective.

이 사람 누구예요? Who is this person?
그 사람 누구예요? Who is that person?

이 것은 제 컴퓨터예요. / This (thing) is my computer.
이 것은 제 차예요. / This (thing) is my car.

그 것은 제 컴퓨터예요. / That (thing) is my computer.
그 것은 제 차예요. / That (thing) is my car.

저 것은 제 컴퓨터예요. / That (thing over there) is my computer.
저 것은 제 차예요. / That (thing over there) is my car.

이 곳은(이) 제 고향이에요. / My hometown is here.
이 곳에 박물관이 있어요. / The museum is here.

그 곳은(이) 제 고향이에요. / My hometown is there.
그 곳에 박물관이 있어요. / The museum is there.

저 곳은(이) 제 고향이에요. / My hometown is over there.
저 곳에 박물관이 있어요. / The museum is over there.
