Word Order - 어순

In general, Korean is a subject-object-verb (SOV) language. Nouns, adverbs, and numbers appear before verbs and/or adjectives.

For instance, '첼시가 아이스크림을 먹는다' means 'Chelsea is eating an ice cream'. 첼시(Chelsea) is a subject, 아이스크림(ice cream) is an object, 먹는다(to eat) is a verb.

Jennifer studies music.
제니퍼는 음악을 공부한다.

My sister bought a skirt.
언니가 치마를 샀다.
